Interest in Biodiesel: I wanted to find a diesel car, specifically to run it on biodiesel. I did not  like the idea of car ownership for all the usual environmental reasons. However, once I discovered  that it was possible to run a standard diesel engine on biodiesel, I finally bought a car.

Used Biodiesel for: Since the first (legal/excise paid) pickup was done in October 2005.
 
Other comments: Anyone considering using biodiesel, do your research and dive in! In Australia the problems associated with making or sourcing your biodiesel are far more frustrating than the minor mechanical hiccups with fuel filters or cold weather.
The more people who use biodiesel the more likely it will be coming soon to a bowser near you!

Please note: All members have their faces and number plates pixellated in these photos. Why? Because of the ridiculous Australian Tax laws regarding the home production of biodiesel. These rules essentially make these people outlaws for trying to do the right thing and run their vehicles on a fuel that does less harm to the environment. Those members who have legitimately bought the fuel excise paid, are also pixellated to help make the point.
